Buying and pickup
How a sale works here, start to finish: what you pay, how you pay it, and how you collect it — because we do not ship, and that changes everything about the last step.
Last updated August 8, 2026
Pickup only, in person, at 195 Oakdale Rd, North York.
Listed prices exclude tax. The tax is added where you pay.
We message you when it's on the pickup shelf. Wait for that.
How an order works
- You order. No account needed — an email address is enough, and your order opens from the link we send you. A name and phone number help us call you at the counter.
- We accept it. An order is a request until we confirm it. Almost every one is confirmed within minutes, but a part can be sold, damaged or wrongly priced between the page loading and you pressing the button — in that case we cancel and refund in full rather than pretend otherwise.
- We pull it and set it aside. Once a part is on the pickup shelf it is out of the catalogue and nobody else can buy it.
- We message you when it is ready. Usually your part is pulled, packed and waiting on our pickup shelf within a couple of hours — rarely longer than a day. Please wait for that message before driving over.
- You collect it. Give your order number at the parts counter and we bring it out.
Prices and tax
- Listed prices are in Canadian dollars and do not include tax. Ontario HST (13%) is added where the money changes hands — on our card checkout, or at the counter. A $100 part costs $113 out the door.
- A price is not a promise about the future. Prices move as stock moves. The price that applies to you is the one on your order.
- Used parts are one of a kind. Every used listing is a single physical part on a shelf, not a line in a warehouse. It is gone when it sells.
Paying
Two ways, and you choose when you order:
- By card, online. Handled by Stripe on Stripe's own checkout page. Your card number never reaches our systems — we are told only that the payment cleared. The part is held the moment it does.
- At the counter, when you collect. We hold the part for you straight away and you settle up in the shop.
Some orders take a $30 handling deposit first. Two kinds qualify: something big enough that getting it down off the racking is a two-person job — a door, a bumper, a seat — and orders of 7 items or more, which are that many walks to that many shelves. The listing and the checkout both tell you before you commit.
The deposit is not a charge on top — it comes off what you owe when you collect. But it pays for work we have already done, so if you change your mind after we have picked the order, the deposit is not refunded. Everything else is.
Collection — we do not ship
We do not ship, post, courier or freight anything — not across Toronto, not across Ontario, not across Canada. Every order is collected in person at our shop. If you cannot get to North York, you cannot buy the part, and no amount of arranging at your end changes that.
Where: 195 Oakdale Rd, North York, ON M3N 1W4. Look for the TSH AUTO sign on the unit. Use the customer entrance — the large workshop bays are for cars. When: Mon–Fri: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM.
Where to come

Someone else can collect for you. Tell us their name, and they bring the order number. We do not hand a part to somebody who cannot produce one.
An order you have not paid for. A part in the pickup bin is out of the racking and out of the catalogue, so it cannot sit there for nothing. After 5 days of silence we send one reminder; 5 days after that reminder the order cancels itself and the part goes back on sale. Nothing was charged, so nothing is owed.
An order you have paid for is yours, and we are never going to resell it out from under you. But a shelf is not infinite, so it does not wait forever either — and what happens instead is that you get your money back, not that you lose it:
- We hold it for 30 days, free. Collect inside that and none of the rest applies.
- Then we write to you once — by email, and by phone if you left us a number — to say the part is still here and to ask you to collect it within 7 days.
- 7 days after that letter, we cancel the order and refund you. The part goes back on sale and your money goes back the way it came, less a $30 holding fee for the time it was set aside for you. That is the only charge, it is a flat amount rather than a share of the price, and there is nothing else to pay.
- The clock only starts once that letter has actually been sent. If our email fails, the deadline moves — we do not cancel an order on a warning you never got.
And none of it has to happen. If collecting is genuinely difficult — you are away, the car is off the road, the job is stalled — reply to that email or call us on 416-533-0909 and we will keep holding it. We only need to hear from you.
What a used part comes with
Every part we list was pulled, checked and photographed by the same crew that turns the wrenches, and the photos on a listing are of that exact part rather than a stock image. That is the standard we hold ourselves to. What it is not is a new part:
- Used, and sold as used. A second-hand part comes with no manufacturer's warranty, and we will not pretend to know how long it will last. What you do get is the returns policy — 30 days on a fault, a replacement or your money back — and, on top of that, the rights Ontario law gives every buyer, which we could not sign away even if we wanted to. “As is” here means we describe the wear honestly and photograph the actual part; it does not mean you have no recourse.
- Fitment is listed at model level, not at variant level. A part shown as fitting an “A4 2013–2016” fits some A4s of those years — not automatically yours. Engine, drivetrain and factory packages change the part number, and an S4 or RS4 is a different car from the A4 it shares a page with. Take the part number from the listing and check it against your own VIN with a dealer before you buy. Details in the terms.
- Electronics need coding. Control units, clusters, infotainment, ABS and airbag modules, electric steering, LED and adaptive headlights, amplifiers — none of them work until they are adapted to your specific car with dealer-level equipment, and a part bricked during a coding attempt cannot be returned. Every listing we know of says so.
- Fitting it is a separate job. We may be able to do it — buy the part, come in and ask. It is quoted as shop work and it is never included in the price of a part. See installation and shop work.
When the part becomes yours
At the counter, when you take it. Until you have collected it the part is ours and it is our problem — if something happens to it on our shelf, that is on us and you get your money back. From the moment it leaves the building it is yours, which is also the moment the return clock starts: 14 days to change your mind with a 25% restocking fee, 30 days if it turns out faulty.
Cancelling
Before you collect: tell us and we cancel it, with a full refund and no restocking fee — nothing has left the building. The one exception is the $30 handling deposit described above, once the picking is done.
After you collect: that is a return, and it is covered by the returns policy.
If we cancel: a part turns out to be damaged, already sold, or listed at an obviously wrong price. You get everything back in full, by the same method you paid, and we tell you why.
Ask us before you order
Not sure a part fits, or want several parts on one order? Message us from any listing, or use the counter directly — it is usually the fastest answer you will get.
