Frequently asked questions
Everything people phone us about, answered. Anything else — 416-533-0909 or message us from any part page.
- Do you ship parts?
No. Pickup only — we don't ship. Collect your part at our Toronto shop. Every order is collected in person at 195 Oakdale Rd, North York, ON M3N 1W4, and there is no delivery option at checkout — not locally, not across Canada.
- Do I need an account to buy?
No. You can buy as a guest: leave a phone number or email, and your order opens from the link we send you. An account only adds a place to keep your past orders and messages.
- How do I pay?
By card online when you place the order, or at the counter when you collect it — whichever suits you.
Listed prices are in Canadian dollars and do not include Ontario HST (13%); the tax is added at checkout, so the total you pay is a little higher than the price on the card.
- How soon can I pick my part up?
Usually your part is pulled, packed and waiting on our pickup shelf within a couple of hours — rarely longer than a day.
We message you when it is on the pickup shelf — please wait for that before driving over, so you are not standing at the counter while somebody walks the racking.
- Will this part fit my car?
Each listing names the cars the part fits, with the model years. If your car is on that list, it fits.
If you are not sure — a facelift year, a different engine, a car we have not listed — check it yourself before you drive over: call any dealer parts counter with your VIN and the part number from the listing, and ask whether that is the number your car takes. One call settles it completely, and it is the same call we would make. We do not verify fitment on your behalf.
Some German electronics also need coding to the car before they work at all; where that is true, the part's own page says so.
- Are used parts tested?
Every part is pulled, checked and photographed by the same crew that turns the wrenches — we are a repair shop first, not a yard that lists whatever comes off a pallet. The photos on each listing are of that exact part, not a stock image.
- Can I return a part?
Yes. You have 14 days from collecting it to change your mind: bring it back uninstalled and as we sold it, and we refund the price less a 25% restocking fee. That fee is the same on everything we sell.
If the part is faulty you have 30 days and there is no fee. Bring it in, show us what it does, and we test it — if it is genuinely faulty we replace it from our own stock, and refund you in full if we have nothing to swap it for.
Because we are pickup-only, returns are made in person at the shop. There is no label to print and nothing to post. The full policy, including electronics that need coding, is on our returns page.
- Do I need to code or adapt the part to my car?
On a lot of German electronics, yes. Control units, instrument clusters, infotainment, ABS and airbag modules, transmission and engine computers, electric steering, driver-assist sensors, adaptive and LED headlights and amplifiers must be coded to your specific car with dealer-level equipment before they will work. Audi and VW Group infotainment also carries component protection, which only an online session with the manufacturer can lift.
Every listing for a part we know needs it says so, and shows the part number to quote when you check the fit with a dealer. A part that was damaged or bricked during a coding attempt cannot be returned, so it is worth making that call before you buy. Once the part is yours we can usually do the coding here — that is shop work, quoted separately.
- Can you install the part for me?
Fitting isn't included, but we are a repair shop: buy the part, come in and ask, and we'll tell you whether we can take the job.
It is charged separately as shop work, on top of the price of the part. There is no appointment for it and it is not guaranteed — the bays are usually full of booked mechanical jobs, so we decide case by case whether we can take one on.
- Where are you, and when are you open?
195 Oakdale Rd, North York, ON M3N 1W4, in North York, Toronto. Mon–Fri: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM.
Look for the TSH AUTO sign on the unit. Use the customer entrance — the large workshop bays are for cars. Phone 416-533-0909 if you cannot find us.
- What cars do you carry parts for?
German cars first — Audi and the wider VW Group, then BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Porsche — plus whatever else has come through the shop.
The parts-by-car pages list every make, model and year we currently hold something for, with live counts.
